3. Who We Are?

That might be the question for you guys who never heard of us nor our school. Basically we are the Old Frees of Penang Free School which studied there from 1995 to 1999. As a school rich in history and once one of the premier school in the island, we are proud to be associated with the school, together with it’s rich history and association with famous names from the past, most notably Allahyarham Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the 1st Prime Minister of Malaysia & Allahyarham P Ramlee, our greatest entertainer of all time, just to name a few.

While we were known for our excellence in academics, we were never short of class talents, be it in sports or art. During our time, we managed to produce several athletes that compete in various sports ranging from state to national levels in hockey, athletics, football & chess. This was largely due to the support the school has given to it’s student especially the infrastructure which is second to none.

Most of us acknowledged that during this period of time was the best times in their life yet, or maybe the best ever. This was the time where we grow up, learning the craft of survival and share many many memorable moments together. While many of us spent numerous years in universities, collages and workplaces, nobody can ever forget the memories they had in secondary school. Whenever we met, the same old stories will be told times and times again, but we will laugh at the same jokes no matter  how.

This is the essence of us. This is the Batch of 1999.
